Exercise Entertainment

What is Exercise Entertainment? Founded by a father and son who were tired of listening to the Radio and its repetitive advertising for mobile phone networks! Having limited time to watch movies, their biggest joy, they believed a gap was missing for like-minded people who love cinema and spend much time listening to the radio. So the idea for a captivating world where timeless cinematic and radio memories come to life, allowing you to relive those momentous moments, was invented. Exercise Entertainment is about letting the joy of the past inspire your present!

Who is behind Exercise Entertainment? Grant and his son Spike have embarked on a delightful journey by establishing Exercise Entertainment, which caters to their passions and brings joy to the hearts of their followers. Operating the business and broadcasting from a charming Shepherd’s Hut nestled alongside the sea lakes of Somerset.

About Grant: Grant, a graphic designer, has always had an affinity for everything vintage. He often scootered about the streets of Soho on his classic Vespa, channelling his inner Gregory Peck from ‘Roman Holiday.’ In his studio, he would immerse himself in a world of old-time radio, listening to the most swinging tunes while conjuring up creative magic. Today, he dedicates his time to curating sensational shows on Eosi and Lost Radio and sourcing forgotten films for Breifaix.

About Spike: Spike is a history student at the University of Exeter. During his studies, he discovered a significant chunk of radio’s glory days, particularly from the BBC, had been lost or erased. Spike began a passion project for researching and discovering lost content for a new lease of life on the airwaves. When he’s not at University, Spike volunteers at the Bill Douglas Cinema Museum in Exeter, United Kingdom, researching lost finds and writing about his discoveries. Grant and Spike’s mission: Grant and Spike both share a passion for the vintage charm of the golden era of film and radio. Their mission is to bring the enchanting experience of classic radio to the world and to raise awareness of the rich history of radio in the UK. Through their dedicated efforts to preserve these timeless broadcasts, they hope to inspire a new generation of listeners to discover the magic of radio that they may have missed out on.
